Citrix Apollo Demo
- XenDesktop running Vista
- Client is running XPe
- Showed AutoCad, great 3D model rotation using 5mb/sec
- Vista 3D flip worked fine
- WPF 3D app - patient records system - worked fine
- Call of duty game - worked ok
- Full screen video worked well too
- Still working on high quality audio
- Works on Citrix desktop spec appliance
I didnt attend this session, however, I understand the apollo demo ‘rocked’. If its as good as my colleague told me, this blows away the competitors in this space.
Hi Brian, it was a great demo, the session on multi-media though was a big let down, very little information on bandwidth, server load, timescales, limitations etc. Still quite a bit to find out, but some fantastic use cases for the technology for sure! I enjoyed the update from your Steve Maytum as well - thanks.
