Allotment Diary–Wednesday 27 July 2016
Pulled a row of mix salads that had been picked for the last month and were now past their best, freed the kohl rabi and lettuces on both sides to develop more.
Popped in a couple of rows of chard to replace it, should have plenty of room once the kohl rabi and lettuces are cropped in a few weeks time.
Popped in a row of radish between two rows of carrots, should be cropped long before the carrots are big enough to get in the way.
I’ve not had much look with radish recently, so I’m hoping this sunny bed suits them
Cropped loads of beets, beans, peas, carrots and leaves for dinner and three bags of spinach and salad leaves
Treated all of the allotment benches and picnic table.
