Keeping it simple

I love technology,  but increasingly I find myself trying to find simple solutions and I find myself in good company.  Several friends have gone back to paper notebooks,  some are using index cards or simple Excel spreadsheets to manage their tasks.  Here are a few of the things I have been doing:

• I have dramatically cut down on the stuff I carry around with me.  Now it’s a small rucksack, with just the slate portion of my TC1100, 1 magazine and a snack, my Treo and a tiny leather wallet and a pocket sized pen
• I have de-installed a load of stuff from my Tablet and login with a trimmed down account that just shows me my main mobile applications
• I carry a voice recorder for making notes because its a lot easier to use than paper when I am out walking
• I often take photo’s on my Treo instead of taking notes
• I use a whiteboard to pan out my day
