Collaboration Is a Key Driver of Business Performance!
I will be interested to see the full research report, but it’s no surprise to me that Frost & Sullivan found this when they surveyed 946 information technology and line-of-business decision-makers. My personal feeling is that there is a huge difference in the effectiveness of individuals that can be attributed to their collaboration skills, and this translates into the effectiveness and innovation of teams and hence to the organisations they work for.
Although much of the technology companies use for collaboration today is increasingly commoditized companies still have major opportunities to extract business advantage through the way they use that technology and the degree to which it’s used and neither of these are easy to achieve or easy for a competitor to duplicate quickly so they can represent a sustained advantage.
