Hiding Twitter

I’m liking Twitter, but my tweets are only really relevant to a few people who are working with me regularly or following me closely.  So although I like the integration with my blog, and I like the fact that Twitter Tools is providing me with a permanent archive of them (effectively a diary in my blog).  But – I really don’t want them cluttering up my home page or my RSS feed.

I thought I could solve this with the Category Access plug-in but this resulted in empty posts being displayed – which was even worse – so for a few weeks I have been stumped and just lived with them cluttering thing up.   But tonight I did manage to find a plug-in that sorted things out.

Since I have configured Twitter Tools to place all my Tweets in the Twitter Category I was able to use the Advanced Category Excluder plugin to hide them from the home page and RSS feed.

If for any reason you do want to find my tweet archive, you can scroll to the bottom of the page and select the category directly —>

View all posts filed under twitter and if you wanted an RSS feed of Tweets that’s available here —> RSS

Please let me know if this is causing anyone any problems!
