Finding Jobs To Do On A Perfect October Day

There’s not much to do on the plot now, it basically pottering and harvest time.  On a perfect sunny, windless day though there’s no place I’d rather be, so I try and invent a few jobs to do and find a few useful things as well.

Growing year round means that I need to keep the hygene levels quite high, especially in the damp could frames to do my best to prevent moulds and alge.  There’s also the battle against slugs, which means removing fallen leaves and other hiding places.  Finally there’s filling gaps that open up in the beds, watering and harvestings.

This video provides a good idea of what a typical winter day on the plot looks like – pretty good 🙂
