November Kitchen Garden Tour

Today’s video is a quick tour of the kitchen garden and there’s not much going on, so I also check in on the store room.

We mainly use the kitchen garden for berries, but we also have a few raised beds that we stock with our most commonly used veg: salads, herbs, carrots, beets, chard and kale. All of these are coming to an end now as we switch all of our harvesting to the allotment, the store room and the freezer. For fresh fruit we are now ‘harvesting’ from the supermarket.

The highlight of the tour are the carrots, but the Bijou and All-Year-Round lettuces are still doing well despite some bad storms and a few frosts.
