Dear Steve, have you any advice on germinating pepper and aubergines, mine are not doing much in coco coir pods, like my toms do.
in your last email, you said you might have a yacon plant available for collection, since the tubers you posted, did not arrive,. Can you let me know if it is ready now?
    Regards
    Richard

  2. Hi Richard, I saved two tubers for us to plant, but right now they’ve not shooted so I don’t want to give anything away until I’m sure we have ours safely in the ground. As to the peppers, stable temperature, around 20c, moist compost not overly wet, about 2 weeks : All the best – Steve

  3. It’s always interesting to see what you are doing! The early tomatoes in baskets are especially attractive to me. I plan to grow a few plants in-ground in the greenhouse this year, but it’s been a few years since I tried hanging ones.

  4. Thanks Dave, I’m making a lot more use of hanging baskets for early and late crops. I have 35 of them and lifting plants high in the polytunnel improves light, ventilation and heat, plus they are so easy to move around : All the best – Steve
