The SameTime 7.5 experience

This is exactly the sort of post I want to see from IBM.  A pretty thorough description of the features of Sametime with some good comments on how they enhance the user experience.  What’s wrong with it though – its not a blog post, so there are no comment –  come on IBM we need comments!  Comments are essential to people like me looking to hear not just IBM’s view but comments from passionate customers, from cynics and from people with real world experience of the product and its competition.

I use Eclipse with some colleagues; good standards-driven approach; welcome.

http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/stforum.nsf has comments, I presume. I am one of the ‘cynics’. As a frequent user, I value good performance way above all the usability features which IBM plans. I am not told whether and how IBM will improve performance.

I would recommend you also read Mary Beth Raven’s blog. She is looking at the end user experience and probing the community for comments on the Notes Hannover design. http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/blogs/page/marybeth
