Back On The Bike
I finally decided on a bike rack and tow bar system today, it’s ordered and will be fitted by a mobile guy in a van on the drive on Wednesday. The system looks very cool and hopefully will mean lots of new hiking/cycling opportunities open up for me as well as the possibility of cycling holidays, I’m excited. To celebrate I finally replaced my broken mudguards on my bike and got out for an afternoon ride for the first time in a month and it was great.
I had another excellent nights sleep, woke up just before seven and headed straight out to Caffe Nero where I caught up on all those little admin jobs that I’d neglected while writing my resolutions blog posts. By the time I’d finished it was raining lightly so I decided to head straight home and then go shopping at Morrison’s, mainly for cat litter, but I also stocked up on staples. Back home I had cereal for lunch, had a nap, fixed my bike and went cycling. I ordered a rear number plate for the cycle rack from Halfords and discovered that I needed my full driving licence (easily found) and registration documents (very hard to find) which required half an hour of sorting through our records draw, a job that never gets done until I loose something.
As per my resolution I spent 30 minutes reading a book, Human Universe, made dinner, went out for an evening walk and begged Debbie to finally cut my hair, a task that’s at least a month overdue and desperately needed. I always love it when my hairs been cut, it makes me feel much younger!
