Allotment Diary–Monday 20 June 2016

Finished painting another pallet today, started a second one and Jon continued painting in the afternoon, so the fence should progress quite a bit tomorrow.

Cleared a row of straggly oriental salad, which grew fantastically earlier in the year, but isn’t do so well now that the weather is warmer, either that or it doesn’t like being out of the polly tunnels where it grew in spring.  In it’s place went a row of Red Cos lettuce:

I’ve also popped in a couple of rows of radish in the bed that’s partly shaded by the tree’s, I’m not convinced that it will grow there, but I’ve run out of space, so it has to go somewhere.

Finally gave the beds a quick week, mostly mares tail.
